농구는 두 팀이 서로 경쟁하여 상대방의 골대(바스켓)에 공을 던져 점수를 내는 스포츠입니다. 각 팀은 더 많은 점수를 얻기 위해 다양한 전략과 규칙을 따라야 합니다.

1. 게임의 목표 (Objective of the Game)
한글: 농구의 목표는 상대 팀보다 더 많은 점수를 얻는 것입니다. 공을 상대 팀의 바스켓에 던져 넣으면 점수를 얻고, 더 많은 점수를 얻은 팀이 승리합니다.

English: The goal of basketball is to score more points than the opposing team. You score by shooting the ball into the opponent's basket, and the team with the most points wins.

2. 팀 구성 (Team Structure)
한글: 한 팀은 보통 5명의 선수로 구성됩니다. 각 선수는 포지션이 다르며, 포인트 가드, 슈팅 가드, 스몰 포워드, 파워 포워드, 센터로 나뉩니다.

English: Each team usually has 5 players. The positions include point guard, shooting guard, small forward, power forward, and center, each with different roles.

3. 점수 계산 (Scoring)
한글: 바스켓 안에 공을 넣으면 점수를 얻게 되는데, 3점슛, 2점슛, 그리고 자유투로 나뉩니다. 3점 라인 바깥에서 던져 넣으면 3점, 그 안에서 넣으면 2점, 반칙으로 자유투를 던지면 1점이 주어집니다.

English: Points are scored by getting the ball into the basket. A 3-point shot is made from outside the 3-point line, worth 3 points. Shots from inside the line are worth 2 points, and free throws after a foul are worth 1 point each.

4. 경기 시간 (Game Duration)
한글: 농구 경기는 보통 4쿼터로 진행되며, 각 쿼터는 10분 또는 12분입니다. 중간에 휴식 시간이 있습니다.

English: A basketball game is typically divided into 4 quarters, each lasting 10 or 12 minutes, with breaks in between.

5. 반칙 (Fouls)
한글: 상대 선수를 밀거나 때리는 행동은 반칙입니다. 반칙을 당한 선수는 자유투를 받을 수 있습니다. 반칙을 많이 하면 그 선수는 경기를 떠나야 해요.

English: Pushing or hitting an opposing player is a foul. The fouled player gets free throws. If a player commits too many fouls, they have to leave the game.

6. 드리블과 패스 (Dribbling and Passing)
한글: 농구에서는 공을 들고 뛰는 것이 금지되어 있어요. 공을 가지고 이동하려면 드리블(공을 바닥에 튀기기)을 해야 해요. 공을 다른 선수에게 전달할 때는 패스를 사용해요.

English: You can't run while holding the ball in basketball. You have to dribble (bounce the ball) if you want to move. To pass the ball to another player, you need to use a pass.

7. 슛 (Shooting)
한글: 득점을 하기 위해선 골대를 향해 공을 던져야 해요. 바스켓에 공이 들어가면 점수를 얻게 되며, 이때 정확성이 중요합니다.

English: To score points, you have to shoot the ball towards the basket. If the ball goes into the basket, you score, and accuracy is key in shooting.

8. 리바운드 (Rebounds)
한글: 상대 팀이나 자기 팀이 슛을 놓쳤을 때, 튕겨 나오는 공을 잡는 것을 리바운드라고 해요. 리바운드는 공격을 계속할 수 있는 중요한 기회입니다.

English: When a shot is missed, grabbing the ball as it bounces off the rim or backboard is called a rebound. Rebounding is important for maintaining possession.
